If you're a B2B startup and you (still) don't have the money to invest on a (paid) Gartner seat, great presence on review websites (GPR, G2, Trust Pilot, etc) is a great start as pointed out.

Another approach is to have Gartner customers scheduling inquiries to talk about your company. This will call the attention from the analyst community.

There are many other possible approaches that may work for the startup - overall, you need to impress during your vendor briefings, and formulate custom strategies that can position your startup to generate demand and authority through analyst firms.
